a risk from working alone is excluded ( Section 28 paragraph 1 MuSchG ).
Expectant mothers can of course revoke this declaration at any time.
Exceptions for work on Sundays and public holidays
Pregnant women and nursing mothers can work on Sundays and public holidays if
they expressly agree
a substitute rest day follows an uninterrupted night rest period of at least eleven hours (a total rest period of at least 35 hours )
there is no danger from working alone ( Section 6, Paragraph 1 of the MuSchG ).
In this case too, women have the right to withdraw their consent at any time .
workplace design
According to Section 2 of the MuSchG, the following rules apply to the design of the workplace :
For activities that involve predominantly standing, reasonable seating must be provided.
If the work is predominantly carried out sitting down , there are opportunities to interrupt work .
