Prejudices often prevent us from seeing beyond a person; due to race, sex or age, we tend to assume that a person is one way or another, and this is no different in the hiring process.

A blind or anonymous CV is a CV in which, in order to avoid any type of discrimination, data such as name, age, sex or nationality are excluded . A photograph is also not included nor are honduras phone data details about the candidate's personal life given. This helps the recruiter to focus more objectively on the candidate's skills and experience. But does a blind CV really help us get hired?

The answer is simple, the blind CV helps , but it doesn't work miracles. Above all, our experience and abilities will always prevail in relation to the job we are applying for. However, it will help us so that recruiters don't judge us just by looking at our photo or personal details and therefore we will have more chances of being interviewed and passing the first round.

In July 2017, the government signed an agreement with 78 companies to develop and promote anonymous CVs, including Banco Santander, Gamesa and KPMG. However, although many people are in favour of this initiative, there are still detractors. Many consider that this restricts the freedom of companies to decide who to hire and others that it slows down the selection processes and, therefore, the productivity of the company.
