Where should you inform someone?

I contacted MailChimp myself (of which Sell your stuff online is a partner). Now this supplier has always done everything very neatly, but to be sure I contacted the Legal Department and they were able to assure us that they will be AVG/GDPR-proof well in advance. This is the official message I received about this:
We are currently in the process of preparing a white paper on the GDPR that will outline the compliance efforts MailChimp is undertaking and will also include some information for our users that is relevant to their own GDPR compliance. We expect this white paper to be completed in the coming weeks. But please know that we are assessing the provisions of the EU's General Data Privacy Regulation with guidance from the Article 29 Working Party and various member state DPAs. MailChimp is working with experts in this area, and intends to be compliant with the GDPR within the requirements of the provision.
One step we are taking that will likely be helpful to our EU users is updating our DPA (data processing agreement) to incorporate provisions to address (among other things) the GDPR. We expect to release the updated DPA in the coming months, and our current DPA can be found online here. Additionally, MailChimp adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. We are EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield certified through 2017 and listed on the US Department of Commerce Privacy Shield website as The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp.
This new legislation requires you to provide a lot of information to (for example) your potential new newsletter reader. Nowhere is it really clear when you have to provide this information, other than when asking permission to send a message (with the opt-in). The GDPR does mention a 'clearly findable place', I think we can assume that this is a reference to your (up-to-date) privacy statement.
See the GDPR as an opportunity
Furthermore, I advise online entrepreneurs to see it as an opportunity. How? Because you have to become more transparent in your communication to the customer, that also means that you will australia whatsapp number communicate more targeted and therefore more personally. If you do that in the right way, your customer will undoubtedly appreciate that.
Furthermore, I always advocate for quality customer contact. Better 1,000 followers from your target group than 10,000 fake followers on Instagram, for example. A newsletter should feel like the Allerhande of your company and not like a package of action folders.
Even if you look at the changes that Facebook recently announced , it is time for a new era. The era where the customer is king again and the entrepreneur will respect them again as it should be. Old school, but with the latest resources. Have fun!
How can we better support vulnerable fellow human beings by giving personal digital attention? Time flies: three years ago I wrote for the first time about the usefulness and necessity of digital social innovation. And how we can effectively tackle social issues such as unemployment and loneliness through it. High time to share experiences and see what else can be done.
