Pilot project on expertise using CIM
To solve these problems, a pilot project was launched in the State Expertise of the Sverdlovsk Region, within the framework of which checks were carried out simultaneously on the basis of traditional 2D documentation and a 3D model. The main goal was to determine the possibility of excluding drawings from design documentation and completely replacing them with CIM.

The objective of the project was to compare the results of both experts according to several criteria: the germany phone number list complexity of the process, the number of comments, compliance with the design documentation and the integrity of the adopted design decisions.

In total, two parallel scenarios were implemented: one expert reviewed the design documentation solely on the basis of text data and 2D documentation, while the second conducted an examination based on the text part and the CIM, without access to 2D documents. Each specialist worked independently, without the opportunity to discuss their findings with a colleague.

Upon completion, the results of the experiment were assessed based on the following indicators:

Coincidence of comments identified during the examination of 2D documentation and CIM. The coincidence confirmed that the data from both documentation did not diverge and it would be possible to refuse duplicating drawings in 2D format
Correspondence of the information model to the two-dimensional design documentation, which guaranteed the absence of errors on the part of the designer
Comparative timeframes for conducting an examination of CIM and 2D documentation
The results of the experiment were announced at the 100+ TechnoBuild forum , with detailed diagrams, schemes and main conclusions presented.

Conclusion
The implementation of the CIM opens up opportunities for a more efficient examination process, but requires significant revisions to the regulatory framework and standardization of requirements. On behalf of the State Expertise of the Sverdlovsk Region, Sergey Serbin expressed his desire to develop uniform requirements for the CIM, as well as to provide optimized methods of automated verification in order to avoid duplication of efforts.
