What was the STDC model again?

Post by Bappy11 »

It is a cost-effective way of marketing
In this article I want to explain how you can give crowdsourced content a place within the customer journey , using the STDC model (see-think-do-care).
Stop-scrolling content during the SEE phaseSee Think Do Care
In the SEE phase, the target group comes into contact with the company for the first time. In other words: you grab the attention of your target group. This is easier said than done. The war for attention is in full swing.

Nowadays we see more and more that people experience choice stress. Because they are exposed to so much information, fax lists this often results in ad blindness . Think for example of the last time you scrolled through Facebook or Instagram or swiped through the stories .

How many of the ads shown caught your attention? Did you stop scrolling? This is exactly where crowdsourced content can help. You can be seen by your target audience again. Here are some tips.

Collect crowdsourced content with hashtags
You can bring in crowdsourced content in the SEE phase by creating a hashtag and encouraging your target audience to use it. This way you collect authentic content in an accessible way. Instagram and LinkedIn even offer the possibility to follow hashtags so you don't miss anything.

Then you share the best messages on your own channels. This can of course be done in different ways, think of a repost, a compilation or just a quote. Below is a nice example of women's fashion brand Aerie:

And a good example from our own country: #echtepostiszoveelleuker from PostNL on Instagram. If you search for the hashtag within Instagram you will see that it has already been used more than a hundred thousand times: a success.
