It seems that Yammer started 'just like that'

The social network Yammer is often seen as the internally communicating brother of Twitter, but has to make do with much less attention. Does that work? A social medium with a sign ' only for colleagues' ? And how do you ensure as an organization that Yammer really contributes to internal communication? With these doubts of my own and questions for my organization, I went to 'Yammer on Tour' in Amsterdam.
How it starts
At Avans University of Applied Sciences, 2200 employees work in 7 buildings spread across Breda, Tilburg brother cell phone list and 's-Hertogenbosch. Three years ago, they started using Yammer . It is unclear by whom and for what purpose. The two participants from the very beginning have since left the organisation. In 2011, usage grew significantly to 400 members. Five to ten percent of these are active users: a percentage that is similar to other social media, such as Twitter. Senior management is not represented in the conversations.
within our organization, without a clear goal for internal communication. In practice, this is no exception. Yammer often starts with a few pioneers and is then picked up and formalized by, for example, the communication department. The fact that this has not yet happened within my institution is a missed opportunity, and that is, eh… a pity.
