Now it's a great opportunity to take this post, and put some pre-sale content. Example: Old: "In the end, KEYWORD KEYWORD is not simple as it seems." New: "here in [your company name+Contact Us link] we know that KEYWORD KEYWORD is not simple as it seems." What to do with a page which is not relevant for my business anymore? What do you mean? are you gonna skip this opportunity? It's time to sell your traffic.
Contact a company which offers those "irrelevan turkey mobile phone numbers database t" services and: Offer them a link to their site from the post, for commission based on clicks ,leads or whatever. Or Reciprocal link. Offer them a 60x120 flash banner ad. Any more ideas? That's it guys. Just do it everyday and don't forget to check your old optimization for last week keywords. Please share your thoughts. If you've been around the SEO world a while, you've undoubtedly heard the old adage: Do what's right for users and engines will reward you with higher rankings Along with its peer: SEO tactics that focus on engines, rather than users, are manipulative (black/gray hat) and will eventually be discounted or penalized In my opinion, both of these statements are utterly false and tragically misleading.
In my view, SEO starts with the user (of course), but cannot ignore the incredible importance of search-engine targeted (and specific) tactics. When I first considered the issue, I thought that perhaps, years ago, these opinions were more accurate than they are today. However, after visualizing the issue, I discovered even that isn't true: Relative Importance of User-Focused SEO Tactics Over Time Relative Importance of Search Engine-Focused SEO Tactics Over Time (please note: graphs like this are, as always, just my personal opinion) The value of tactics from each set has risen/fallen over time, leading me to the conclusion that this was never good advice.
