The Suchard Christmas 2023 advert is here; it is a classic that, along with the Lottery, Campofrío and a handful of others, is usually highly anticipated by the public…
It tells the story of a family, like hundreds of thousands, who have celebrated Christmas together “all their lives . ”
The Suchard Christmas 2023 advert tells the story from the present day to 1973, going back in time and completing stages…
The agency chosen to produce the spot is once again Ogilvy , with Hogarth as production partner and the animation studios Megacomputer and Passion Pictures .
Last year it was “The First Christmas” , a family story that remembered a loved one who was no longer with them; for this one, animated characters were chosen, with an excellently crafted production.
A fast-paced commercial, with a visual and emotional message, undoubtedly emotional.
Just a year ago I wrote on indonesia telegram mobile phone number list this blog about whether advertising should be “tear-jerking”, since practically all Christmas adverts had this component intrinsic to them. There was debate, and there is debate.
It seems that if Christmas advertising doesn't make you cry, it's not worth it... and it's a somewhat "dangerous" concept in a world with so many problems, with newscasts full of negative news and lives that are often more about surviving than living.
I mentioned Campofrío, a brand that is a reference in its Christmas adverts, which mix emotion with humour, making the tear-jerker part “more bearable”.
But hey, it has always been said that it is necessary to cry from time to time and, as Christmas is once every 365 days, we can use the saying “once a year does no harm”. Don’t you think?
But I can write this far, the ideal thing is that you watch the minute and thirty-three seconds that it lasts, and then we will talk…
