Take your places, flight IB514 from Madrid to A Coruña. 200 passengers boarding punctually at 7:30 a.m. Once takeoff, the plane's captain opens the microphone and tells the passengers that today will not be just another day, just another flight... that on board is the Corporate Vice President of Samsung Spain , Mr. Celestino García, and that he has a very "tasty" gift for everyone... none other than the new Galaxy Note8 .

This marketing strategy is part of the “Welcome aboard Galaxy Note8” campaign , which Iberia and Samsung orchestrated to reward the trust of Spanish users. If you remember, exactly a year ago, some airlines (including Iberia) banned access to the plane with the Galaxy Note7 terminal due to its battery problems; even the list of telegram users in israel batteries exploded, which led to a major crisis, both in terms of sales and reputation. The Korean multinational wanted to put an end to all the fuss (never better said) that arose a few months ago in this original way…

In the words of the Corporate Vice President himself, “it was a very special moment because we were looking forward to seeing the faces of all the passengers when they received the news. I was speaking on behalf of all the employees who make up Samsung Spain, when I confirmed that they would receive the latest equipment and that it was nothing more than a gesture to show our gratitude for the support and trust we have received over the last few months.”

But this has not been the only joint marketing action of the companies lately. At the beginning of the month, passengers on the air bridge between Barcelona and Madrid, as well as Bilbao, Granada and Jerez, were able to enjoy a coffee and a snack on their journey, obviously at the expense of both companies.
