The importance of personal environmental management has gone from being an attitude that many people chose to a routine and obligatory behavior. Do you remember a time when there was only one type of container on the streets? Now, it is even rare not to see the 4 colors together (yellow for plastic, green for glass, blue for paper and black for organic waste).

Therefore, I can tell you that the environment is part of our lives, and companies have been no exception in joining this bandwagon.

Giving more importance to environmental management
Our awareness of caring for the planet thailand phone data we live on, keeping our environment free of pollution and ensuring the sustainability of our ecosystem are values on the rise. Companies do not live apart from this reality and clients and consumers also demand the same behaviour from the companies or brands they buy from: caring for the environment has gone from being an added bonus to an indispensable and enforceable aspect.

This is where the standards of Management Systems gain strength through the application, by the Organizations that define them, of the continuous improvement cycle or PDCA on which they base their existence.

Continuous improvement cycle to enhance the importance of environmental management
1. Plan (Plan) The points where improvements can be made are analysed and the desired objectives are set. In this phase it is important to gather opinions from the different people or areas involved in order to have a broader overview of the needs and proposals.

2. Do The measures adopted to implement the proposed improvements are put into effect. When the actions are to be applied on a large scale (for example in large companies), it is ideal to carry out pilot tests beforehand in order to confirm that the measures to be implemented are viable.

3. Check This is the time to check whether the changes made are bearing fruit, whether the objectives set are achieved or not, and also to detect possible deviations in the implementation of the plan. To control, it is necessary to establish appropriate parameters and metrics.

4. Act This involves making the appropriate decisions and, if things go as planned, implementing the measures definitively or seeing what we can do to get things back on track if the result is not as expected. And in the latter case, the process of these four steps mentioned must be repeated until the desired objective is achieved. It is worth mentioning that it is always good to take note of the errors committed or resulting from them, in order not to repeat them in the future.
