SIf you've recently logged into your old Universal Analytics account, you've probably seen this:

And also something like this

Google Analytics Notice on Data Export

A notice from Google explaining that you have until July 1st to export the data from a Universal Analytics property and thus save a copy of your history for all the years you have been using that account. In fact, as Google explains in its own documentation:

«Starting the week of July 1, 2024, you will no longer be albania number data able to access any Universal Analytics properties or the API (even with read-only access), and all data will be deleted. While the standard decommissioning took weeks to complete, the full shutdown of Universal Analytics will occur within a week. We know your data is important to you, and we encourage you to export your previously processed data before this date.»

That is, even if you have been using Google Analytics 4 for some time to measure what happens on your website, if you do not proceed to export the data that you still store in your old Universal Analytics account, you will risk losing all of that historical data that you accumulated in the years prior to July 2023, when the standard Universal Analytics properties stopped processing new data.
